Job Tiltle: Account Manager – Corporate Sales (Government Accounts)
Department: Sales
Reports to: Head of Corporate Sales
                                                         

Purpose:
The Account Manager for Government Accounts will be responsible for managing and developing long-term relationships with government clients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. This role requires a deep understanding of governmental processes, regulations, and procurement systems. The ideal candidate will also drive sales growth by identifying new governmental partnerships and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • 1. Client Relationship Management:

    · Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with governmental agencies and stakeholders.

    · Act as the main point of contact for government clients, ensuring timely communication and resolution of inquiries or issues.

    2. Sales Strategy:

    · Identify and develop business opportunities within government sectors, aligning corporate sales strategies with government procurement needs.

    ·  Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and contracts to government clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

    ·  Monitor and analyze sales performance for governmental accounts, adjusting strategies as needed.

    3. Contract and Procurement Management:

    ·  Manage the end-to-end government tendering process, from proposal preparation to contract negotiation and implementation.

    ·  Stay updated with governmental procurement regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring all processes meet legal standards.

    4. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    · Work closely with internal departments such as finance, legal, and operations to ensure smooth contract execution and service delivery.

    · Coordinate with product development teams to customize offerings based on government sector needs.

    5. Reporting & Analysis:

    · Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and account statuses to senior management.

    · Analyze governmental account data to identify trends and suggest improvements in sales tactics or product offerings.

    6. Market Research & Networking:

    ·  Stay informed about changes in government policies, regulations, and procurement trends that may impact sales opportunities.

    ·  Attend government and industry events, networking to establish new contacts and build relationships with key decision-makers.

  • ·        Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.

    ·        5+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably with governmental or large corporate accounts.

    ·        Proven experience in managing tenders, bids, and proposals for government contracts.

    ·        Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

    ·        Ability to manage complex sales cycles and long-term contracts.

    ·        Knowledge of governmental procurement procedures and regulatory compliance.
